Jota has provided Celtic supporters with many great memories.

In his first spell at the club, Jota left Celtic fans in awe as his dazzling trickery and pace on the wing terrified defenders and left the Hoops support on the edge of their seats.

Jota scored 28 goals and provided 26 assists in 83 appearances in his first two seasons at the club and that led Al Ittihad to shell out £25m to make the Portuguese winger one of Celtic’s most expensive transfer sales of all time.

The winger returned to Celtic in January in a deal with Rennes that saw Kyogo Furuhashi make a Ligue 1 switch and Jota has already made an instant impact.

Out injured at the moment, the SFA posted a class tribute to the Celtic winger with a reminder of one of the most important goals during his first period at the club.

SFA post treble-securing Jota goal from Celtic vs Inverness Scottish Cup final

Many Celtic fans will probably regard the goal Jota scored against Rangers at Celtic Park as one of his most iconic finishes.

However, in the 2023 Scottish Cup final where Celtic beat Inverness Caley, the Portuguese scored the Hoops’ third goal which sealed the Parkhead club’s record-breaking treble win.

The goal meant that Ange Postecoglou left Celtic that summer with his name written amongst the immortals at the club for completing a domestic clean sweep.

The goal against Rangers Jota scored that Celtic fans voted 2023 Goal of the Season

Of all of Jota’s goals in his first two seasons at Celtic, it was his galloping goal in the 4-0 thrashing of Rangers at Parkhead that blew the Hoops support away.

Jota paid tribute to Celtic hero Matt O’Riley for the pass that sent him on his way but the run, control and little dink over Alan McGregor was sheer quality and won’t be forgotten by fans for a long time.
