The Transfer Window podcast host Ian McGarry believes that Arsenal are ready to spend only £22million for Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard.
The transfer expert believes that Celtic are willing to sell this summer, and that the Gunners want to continue to add to their attacking ranks ahead of the new season.

McGarry says this has led to Edouard becoming a priority signing for Mikael Arteta’s men. Speaking on the Transfer Window podcast, the host said the following on French Eddy:
“We understand Odsonne Edouard is of great interest to the Gunners, and they’re willing to pay around €25million (£22m) for the Celtic striker, who didn’t feature in their last two games interestingly.
“It’s our understanding that Celtic are very much willing to sell, and are looking for a buyer.”
Good luck getting him for anywhere near that
First off, McGarry believes the fact that Edouard missed Celtic’s last two games is “interesting”. Well, not really. Neil Lennon has already confirmed that the player was carrying an injury and will hopefully be back in time for the Ross County clash (Glasgow Times).
Next, why on earth would Celtic actively be looking for a buyer? The manager has already stated that he wants to tie Edouard down and keep him for the 10-in-a-row push (Glasgow Times).
Would the board seriously allow the manager to come out and give that kind of view if they were hunting the market for someone to take Eddy? Not a chance. Celtic are clearly working towards trying to keep him here for another year.

Finally, £22m? When would the real bid come in? There’s absolutely no way the club will be accepting offers less than what Kieran Tierney went for when he switched Parkhead for the Emirates for £25m (BBC).
Whether that would be a starting bid or what not doesn’t matter – it will surely get booted out if it comes to fruition. Celtic don’t have to sell, and with 10-in-a-row on the line, they most certainly won’t be looking to sell.
With reports that the club could look for up to £40m for Edouard, any club interested would have to get serious. Offers just over £20m shouldn’t come close to cutting it.
In other news, an imminent Celtic arrival has “liked” a tweet that sets up a dream scenario at Ibrox.
