Hyunjun Yang’s future at Celtic appears to be in doubt this summer.
The South Korean international has been in and out of Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic first-team but it seems he could be the next winger to leave the club.
Norwich City enquired about Yang just under ten days ago now with the Celtic winger said to want to explore his options about a potential move to the English Championship side.
Brendan Rodgers is keen on the Celtic winger and has previously praised him for his Champions League performance against Bayern Munich at Parkhead.
However, a rumour surfaced last night about Yang being pictured in a Norwich City strip and now, it seems, all isn’t what it appears to be regarding the grainy snap.

A picture appeared on X from account @KNTFootball claiming to show Yang in a Norwich City shirt last night on the verge of completing a move to the English club.
However, overnight, it has been proven that the picture was faked using AI as overseas media outlet The Korea JoongAng Daily tweeted in the early hours of this morning.
The news agent said, “A social media frenzy kicked off Tuesday over a picture of Celtic winger Yang Hyun-jun in a Norwich shirt, seemingly signalling a move to England.
“But the photo was fake. The story was fake. And Yang appears to still be at home in Glasgow.”
Even friend of 67 Hail Hail Mark Hendry has since confirmed the story was not true despite some outlets immediately jumping on it.

To further compound the story, the X account that first ‘broke’ the story has since come forward and owned their mistake with a public apology.
@KNTFootball said, “Hey guys, my sincere apologies over the Yang photo. After some further research I take complete responsibility over sharing the photo.
“Was so eager, excited & it seemed so real. I defo need to be better about sources. I pride my account in being reliable/trustworthy, really missed the mark here, I promise to be/do better next time.”
During a time when Celtic fans are eager to find out transfer news about the club, stories like this really do the supporters no favours.
However, with plenty of time left to go in the summer window, Celtic supporters will have to endure these rumours until the next new signing is made.
