Three players that have been linked with moves to Celtic have been nominated for PFA awards handed out by the Scottish Football Association.

No Celtic players made the shortlist for the awards, despite the fact that Benjamin Nygren is one of the top scorers in the league.

The Hoops’ recruitment process seems to be targeting players from the Scottish Premiership, and three of those on the shortlist have been nominated.

SFA Scottish Premiership award nominees

On the list of nominations for the player of the season, and young player of the season awards, there are three different players.

Motherwell duo Elijah Just and Tawanda Maswanhise made the shortlist for the player of the season while Dundee’s Luke Graham is in contention to win the young player of the season award.

Just and Maswanhise have been on the Bhoys’ radar for some time and have been key assets in Jens Berthel Askou’s side this campaign.

Graham impressed against the Hoops and the Scotland U21 star is among the leading performers in the division.

Celtic will be looking at more than £10m for all three players

A huge rebuild awaits the Hoops, irrespective of ending the season with one, two or zero trophies by 23 May.

Money will have to be spent and if all three of the players in question are to be wearing green and white shirts by August, they will come at a premium.

It wouldn’t be out of the question to say that they may need to spend more than £10m on these three players.

The Motherwell duo will cost the most, but Steven Pressley has hinted that they won’t sell Graham on the cheap either.
