Brendan Rodgers stands on the brink of glory against Dundee United at Tannadice this afternoon.

The Celtic manager will pick up the Hoops’ fourth title in a row if Rodgers can claim a point at Tannadice in the lunchtime kick-off.

Celtic are 15 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table with just five games left to play and a draw will be enough for the Parkhead club to be crowned champions.

However, this isn’t an unfamiliar scenario for the Celtic supporters as the Hoops have won the league at Tannadice many times before.

Ange Postecoglou, Neil Lennon and Gordon Strachan have all won the league at Tannadice and now Celtic boss Rodgers can add his name to the list this afternoon.

Whether it be a draw or a win, Celtic fans will be looking to leave Tayside as champions.

Celtic’s biggest-ever win vs Dundee United at Tannadice

Celtic have enjoyed a number of huge wins over The Tangerines over the course of their illisustrious history but at Tannadice, only one result jumps out.

The incredible thing about this match was that at 40 minutes, the score was stuck at 1-0 after Kyogo Furuhashi put Celtic ahead on the 15th minute.

However, Kyogo earned a hatrick scoring in the 40th and 45th minute before Jota added a fourth in added time to take the score 4-0 in at halftime.

A Liel Abada second-half hatrick was complimented by a rare Carl Starfelt goal and Josip Juranovic strike to record Celtic’s biggest ever win at the Taysiders.

Celtic fans would love to see a similar scoreline today but, in truth, the vast majority want to see Brendan Rodgers claim the point that will officially see the Hoops crowned champions.
