Australian football legend Tim Cahill has sent a message to Daniel Arzani after the Celtic loanee made his return to the international fold.
The injury ravaged attacker got 30 minutes for one of the Aussie international youth sides in midweek, as he continues his long road to recovery following a horrendous ACL injury suffered last season.
Arzani hasn’t featured for Celtic since that fateful night at Dundee but he is close to making a first-team comeback.
And the Hoops support seemingly aren’t the only ones excited to see him back as Aussie legend Cahill commented on Instagram.
Cahill said simply: “Good to see you back my man Arzani”. The Celtic man replied shortly afterwards saying “Good to get another 30 minutes under my belt. Hopefully back to full fitness in the coming weeks.”
Arzani may have better Celtic chance on the right
Arzani really has his work cut out if he’s to make it into the Celtic first-team. The Aussie attacker prefers to play off the left-hand side – a position where we are so well covered for options at present.
One area he could look to capitalise on a lack of options is at right-wing. Neil Lennon can only really call upon James Forrest at present with Marian Shved seemingly out of the picture. If Arzani could prove himself as a good option on the right then he may be able to secure some game time, and give Forrest a rest in the process.
The Aussie is clearly talented but has had some really bad luck in Glasgow. The next few months will tell whether that luck is about to turn around.
