It’s felt like forever, but Celtic finally have a striker.
Tomas Cvancara was confirmed by the Hoops on Thursday afternoon and adds some much-needed firepower to Martin O’Neill’s squad.
Celtic confirmed that there will be an option to sign him permanently if he impresses in Glasgow and will need to hit the ground running.
Following a difficult time with Borussia Mochengladbach, this is the perfect chance for the 25-year-old to show what he is made of, and he is already doing a good job of appeasing his new fanbase.

Should Tomas Cvancara start against Hearts this weekend?
Tomas Cvancara says Celtic are a ‘great name’ in world football
Cvancara first rose to prominence while playing in his native home of the Czech Republic, establishing himself as a proven goal scorer with Sparta Prague.
He will hope to replicate that and in his first interview with Celtic TV, namechecked the Hoops as one of the biggest teams in the world.
“It’s a massive honour to sign for this club,” he said.
We have lots of challenges ahead of us and I am ready to get going and do everything I can to meet these and bring success to our brilliant supporters.
“Celtic is one of the great names in world football and I am delighted to be here to play my part.”
Who are you picking?
Can Tomas Cvancara play against Hearts?
With a Europa League tie against Bologna coming too soon for the forward, the first opportunity for fans to to see him in action will be in the huge clash against Hearts on Sunday.
Goals have been hard to come by of late for the Bhoys, so the chances are he could be thrown straight into the deep end.
He will have no time for a settling-in period, however, as the Bhoys try and close the gap on Hearts to three.
