Despite the lack of transfer activity at Celtic this summer, there are still a number of quality players at the club.
Celtic still have a solid spine to the team with the likes of Kasper Schmeichel in goal and Cameron Carter-Vickers in the heart of the defence.
Callum McGregor bolsters the Celtic midfield and then up top, either Adam Idah or Daizen Maeda will provide the firepower for Brendan Rodgers.
But it was none of these players who left former Dundee manager Tony Docherty blown away after he shared how he was granted behind-the-scenes access to Celtic’s training recently.

Tony Docherty in awe of James Forrest after witnessing Celtic training session
The former Dundee boss is clearly keeping himself in the football loop as he searches for a new club and has shared how being granted behind-the-scenes access to Celtic’s training recently showed him that Rodgers has an ‘outstanding’ player at his disposal.
And here, Docherty can’t stop waxing lyrical about Celtic legend, James Forrest.
Docherty told PLZ Soccer [29m 49s], “He’s outstanding. He’s a real credit to himself. It’s the way he looks after himself on a daily basis.
“And the benefit of watching Celtic training just recently there, and he just looks like the youngest, fittest player on the pitch.
“And that’s credit to him. And listen, I’ve no doubt he’ll still have a huge contribution to make.”
The next milestone James Forrest could reach with Celtic this season
James Forrest is already Celtic’s most decorated player in the club’s unbroken history and has broken many records at the club.
After scoring in Celtic’s win over St Mirren last season, Forrest became the first player since Paul McStay to score in 16 seasons at the club.
And this season, if he remains fit, the legendary winger could make 550 appearances for the club. Currently on 529, Forrest still has a bit to go to make the list of Celtic players with the most all-time appearances for the club.
