That left-back Celtic crave might not be arriving as quickly as Brendan Rodgers would like.
With a winger in Nicolas Kuhn through the doors, it seems as though the next two main priorities for the team are a left-back and a striker.
Well, one left-sided fullback who has been on Celtic’s transfer radar, amid strong interest, is Estoril’s Tiago Araujo.
The Daily Record reports that the Portuguese side value Tiago Araujo at ‘£4 million’, but that’s a fee the club simply won’t pay.
It was suggested that the powers that be at Parkhead ‘don’t value him in the same ballpark’ as Estoril.
If that’s the case, then that suggests the club don’t just want to pay less for the 22-year-old, but significantly less.
Look, a few weeks still remain before the winter transfer window slams shut, but this clearly suggests that a deal might not happen here.
Celtic clearly won’t change their mind and put that type of money on the table, it would be a surprise if that happens, so something has to happen on the other side.

Greg Taylor needs help
Alexandro Bernabei is still on the books and you would assume that all parties will be looking to get him out of the door this month.
Either way, whether he leaves or not, he isn’t going to play, which leaves Greg Taylor as the last man standing at left-back.
This isn’t a case of replacing the player. But just helping him out. Bringing in the competition so it then pushes him to take his levels up.
Plus, what happens if he gets injured? It’s going to force the manager to play someone out of position.
And whilst Greg Taylor might not notice it, but just for the good of his game, he needs someone properly challenging him for his spot.
