Celtic youngster Tsoanelo Letsosa has departed the club to join Lommel SK.
The Belgian second-tier side confirmed the news on Friday evening, posting a graphic featuring Letsosa at his new club.
They tweeted: “From the Scottish champions, welkom Tsoanelo Letsosa.”
The news is unlikely to be a massive surprise to anyone at Celtic Park. In June, Football Scotland reported that the 19-year-old was on the verge of leaving the club after turning down a new contract.
Letsosa had been with us since he was 12 (Celtic) but didn’t ever make a first-team appearance. He had been an important part of the Celtic B side over the past couple of years.
The most intriguing part of the move is that Lommel are part of the City Football Group.

The Belgians were bought over by CFG in May 2020 — with Letsosa’s departure from Celtic to a team in the group not seeming to be much of a coincidence.
We have benefitted from an informal relationship with CFG in recent years, with the likes of Ange Postecoglou, Mark Lawwell and new signing Marco Tilio all coming through our door in part due to the connection.
It seems like we are also offering something in the partnership — even if our players aren’t signing for Manchester City’s first-team.
We wish Letsosa all of the best for the future and hope to hear his name again.
In other news, Marco Tilio says he had discussions with Aaron Mooy prior to making the move to Glasgow
