UEFA have revealed Celtic’s Champions League squad for the upcoming play-off round against Kairat Almaty.

Celtic watched on as the Kazakhstan side and Slovan Bratislava battled it out on Tuesday night in the third qualifying round second leg.

Kairat emerged victorious on penalties, and the Hoops will play them on August 20 at Celtic Park before a mammoth trip to Almaty six days later.

Now, as per the official UEFA website, Celtic fans have been informed of Brendan Rodgers’ 25-man squad for the first and second legs of the crucial play-off round.

Hayato Inamura excluded from Champions League squad

Hayato Inamura has been excluded from the 25-man roster, with the Japanese defender expected to be loaned out before the transfer window closes.

Rodgers was impressed with Inamura across pre-season, and admitted that he needed to reassess the plan for the left-sided defender.

But it now appears Inamura is more likely to exit on loan than not due to being left out of Celtic’s first and second legs against Kairat.

Of course, the injured Jota is not on the list, while Marco Tilio has also missed the cut ahead of an expected exit out of Parkhead.

Tilio is on the verge of signing for Rapid Wien, but Celtic will not sanction the deal until they have signed a new winger before September 1.
