Celtic have a catalogue of players out on loan at other clubs who are vying to impress before returning to Parkhead in the summer.
In the recent past, Liam Scales and Kristoffer Ajer are examples that pay testament to the value of gaining experience elsewhere before eventually going on to become key players for the Bhoys.
One other man who could well be on that path is Bosun Lawal, who has spent the entire campaign at Fleetwood Town, previously working with Scott Brown before the latter left the club last September.
Former Scotland midfielder Charlie Adam is now in the dugout at Highbury Stadium as the Cod Army battle relegation from the third-tier of English football.
Republic of Ireland Under-21 international Lawal has been a constant within a newly-found midfield role for his loan side, making 34 appearances in total, in which he has netted twice [Transfermarkt].
The 20-year-old got on the scoresheet for the second time last weekend in a 2-1 defeat to Barnsley, firing home a spectacular strike from 25 yards.
Brendan Rodgers will be encouraged to see his progress, and it remains to be seen whether he can have a long-term future in Glasgow.

Celtic loanee Bosun Lawal labelled a ‘top talent’ by Charlie Adam
Adam has previously referred to Lawal as someone who has a ‘bright future’ in the game and has now offered the Dublin-born man some even bigger praise in his most recent interview discussing his potential.
Speaking to Fleetwood Town’s official media channels, the 38-year-old has signalled that Lawal is a ‘top talent’ who has the ‘right credentials’ to go on and star for Celtic at senior level.
He stated in his post-match press conference: “He was the best player on the pitch. Unfortunately, he’s not our player, he’s a Celtic player, but it’s a real privilege to have him. He’s a quality player; he dominated the game. His strength, his power, and it was an unbelievable strike.
“The longer he’s in the building for us, from now until the end of the season, he will definitely make a difference to our team.
“He’s a top talent, but hopefully, with the journey we’re on and the support that we can give him, he goes back to Celtic next season, and he goes and competes for a position because I believe he’s got the right credentials to be a Celtic player.”
It is positive to see Lawal having an impact south of the border, though one does wonder if he would make an impact in this faltering Celtic side due to his physicality and ball progression.
Nevertheless, fans will need to watch his development from a distance due to his loan agreement. His situation is definitely one to keep an eye on over the next few months.
