A Celtic fixture against Ross County has been moved from its original April slot to February after Scottish Cup uncertainty freed up a weekend.
The Scottish FA confirmed earlier today that the halt on football below the Scottish Championship would continue beyond the end of January.
As a result, Round Four of the Scottish Cup will not be played on the weekend of 20th February.
The SPFL have now moved the entire round of Premiership fixtures due to be played on April 3rd to that weekend.
It means Celtic will now play away to Ross County on Sunday 21st February.
The match will be live on Sky Sports and has been given an unusual kick-off time as a result, starting at 7:30 pm, The Scottish Sun reports.
Sunday night matches are not a regular occurrence for the Hoops. The fixture comes after a Rangers game at home to Dundee United that afternoon.
Will Celtic get to play in the Scottish Cup this term?
Celtic have already claimed Scottish Cup glory recently with a win over Hearts at Hampden late last year.
However, it’s uncertain what the Scottish FA plan to do with the remainder of this season’s tournament.
Round Three has already been postponed until further notice and now Round Four has too.
Round Two hasn’t even finished yet, with Celtic due to play the winners of Arbroath or Falkirk at home in the third.
There’s every chance fixtures from the competition are again pushed into an autumn and winter schedule, like the last tournament.
