Andy Walker has accused Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers of ‘insulting’ the entire Hoops dressing room.
Rodgers watched his flailing Celtic side lose 2-0 to Dundee at Dens Park on Sunday to leave them five points adrift of Scottish Premiership leaders Hearts.

The Northern Irishman told the press after the game that “there’s no way you’ll go into a race and be given the keys to a Honda Civic and say, I want you to drive it like a Ferrari.”
It was interpreted as a dig at his underperforming players, but Rodgers clarified it was a reference to the loss of speed in his team compared to last season.

Andy Walker ‘very surprised’ by ‘insulting’ Rodgers remark
Former Celtic striker Walker, however, is not happy with what Rodgers said and feels he disrespected his whole squad with the ‘very surprising’ remark.
Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, Walker said: “I’ve got to say, I was really surprised by Brendan’s comments at the weekend.
“I thought it was very insulting towards the dressing room. I don’t know if he wants out, but clearly there is so much wrong there.
“He’s got a senior executive briefing against him, results haven’t been great – is that six games now where they haven’t scored a goal? The football hasn’t been on top form.
“They’ve got a huge game at the weekend against Hearts, which is a great story for Scottish football. But really surprised by his comments, I thought they insulted the whole dressing room.”
Unity is needed at Celtic, not more division
Rodgers’ comment will do nothing to improve fortunes at Celtic at a time when fans and club are not as one.
Protests have escalated against the Hoops board, with Rodgers also now starting to feel serious heat from the supporters for poor results and displays.
Rodgers only last month was the one pleading for unity and sticking together after a disastrous transfer window, but now he’s creating division with his players.
Is Walker right to suggest that Rodgers really wants out sooner rather than later?
