Viaplay Sports have announced their coverage team for Sunday’s League Cup final between Celtic and Rangers.

The broadcasters have exclusive rights for the showpiece clash as Ange Postecoglou‘s Celts go for a second successive triumph in the tournament.

It won’t be easy for the Hoops against Michael Beale‘s side who have won their last nine matches.

Beale has been involved in a bit of off-field drama with Chris Sutton recently, and the former Celtic striker is part of Viaplay’s “star-studded” ten strong team.

Also included from a Celtic point of view are Gordon Strachan and John Hartson, while Michael Stewart is another that Hoops fans will be familiar with.

On the blue side are Ally McCoist, Alan Hutton and Brian Laudrup while the likes of Emma Dodds, Rory Hamilton and Connie McLaughlin will carry out vital roles for the broadcaster.

It’s not yet clear who will join Hamilton on commentary, but Stewart may be the most likely.

One thing’s for sure, it won’t be the usual sound of Ian Crocker accompanying the match.

It promises to be an exciting afternoon for the broadcaster who don’t often get to show Glasgow derby encounters.

Their coverage of the match is set to get underway at 2pm on Sunday, an hour before kick-off.

They are also showing a replay of our semi-final victory over Kilmarnock from noon.

We’re getting closer and closer to the big one. It’ll be here soon.
