Video: After Last Christmas, Ange Postecoglou gets yet another new Celtic song
By now you’ll have either heard or viewed the brilliant songs from the Dens Park terraces yesterday in tribute to Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou.
The away support have been massive backers of the Bhoys boss since he joined in the summer and they let him know on Sunday, re-purposing the Last Christmas song that was used for Ronny Deila and Brendan Rodgers for the Australian.
It’s something the manager even commented on in his post-match interview. And now another tune previously reserved for Rodgers has a Postecoglou flavour, as seen in footage from a pub with Celtic fans yesterday via Twitter user @pdevine8.
Using catchy hymn “Here I Am, Lord”, the Celtic fans have adopted yet another new terrace chant for the 56-year-old.
It’s unclear whether this one will also stick with fans, but if it does, that means supporters have three songs for the Bhoys boss already, including the one that also features Kyogo and Liel Abada.
Supporters are clearly fully on board with the new era at Celtic Park and like what they see from the team and coaching staff, despite a tricky start to the season.
Celtic are still four points behind at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, but have secured European football after Christmas and still have a shot of qualifying for the Europa League knockouts.
Now undefeated in eight matches, hopes are high for what we’ll see from the squad after the latest international break, providing our key players stay injury free.
Onwards and upwards for Ange and the Bhoys, with few new tunes to add to the atmosphere at matches. Quality!
