Video: Celtic post more class footage from flag day victory celebrations

Celtic have released more brilliant footage from the Scottish Premiership opening day victory over Aberdeen on Sunday.

The Celtic support were buzzing for the season to get underway, with captain Callum McGregor unfurling the flag at Paradise ahead of the beginning of the 2022/23 campaign.

Ange Postecoglou’s side faced a potentially tricky task, with Aberdeen travelling to Glasgow off the back of a positive start in the Premier Sports cup.

However, the Bhoys kicked off the season in perfect style, picking up all three points and heading straight to the top of the Scottish Premiership table after just one game.

An early goal in the opening few minutes set the tone for the Hoops, with Stephen Welsh rising highest to meet Matt O’Riley’s corner delivery.

Pushing for a second goal in the game, a moment of magic from Jota comfortably handed Celtic the three points, and Postecoglou’s side headed back to where they belong in the league.

Today, the club’s social media channel has released more footage from the Bhoys’ first outing at Paradise of the season, with the unique angles of the two strikes against Aberdeen.

Of course, Celtic supporters have become familiar with seeing the unique angles of each strike throughout the campaign, with the club continuing to produce more behind the scene content.

Once again, fans are provided with brilliant footage of the players up close, getting a superb view of each goal and the celebrations that follow.

I am sure there will have been plenty of Celtic supporters who have watched back Jota’s magnificent strike on a number of occasions already.

Somehow, the winger’s goal gets even better each time you watch it, and it is great to see the appreciation from his teammates in the aftermath.

As mentioned, the ‘unique angles’ series has become very popular amongst the Parkhead faithful, and hopefully, we are able to see more brilliant goals caught on camera as the season goes on.
