Viljami Sinisalo is getting comfortable in his seat as Celtic’s stand-in number one.
You could argue that Kasper Schmeichel’s injury has proven to be a blessing in disguise for Celtic because it has allowed everyone to see what the back-up option is like.
So far, Sinisalo can hold his head up high because he is performing well and getting some much-needed experience under his belt.
Whilst Sinisalo was on Aston Villa’s books, he didn’t make an appearance for the Midlands giants, so all of this pressure will be a first for him.
The Finland international would have learnt pretty quickly, no matter what, that all you can and should be doing at Celtic is winning trophies.
The 23-year-old watched on from the sidelines as the League Cup was delivered at Hampden in December, but he can play a key role in, not just winning the Scottish Cup, but also the Treble for Scotland’s most successful club.

Viljami Sinisalo plays down Treble talk in the Celtic dressing room
The media, the manager in press conferences, pundits and the Celtic Park faithful are all talking about whether another Treble can be delivered.
Rodgers has been here before and wiped the floor in Scotland before, as the Irishman has the chance to create more history.
But Sinisalo told Celtic TV that talk of the champions-elect winning a domestic Treble isn’t even being mentioned inside the dressing room.
“Nah, it’s not being discussed,” said Sinisalo. “It’s one of them, it’s a bit of a break from the league now. It’s a different competition.
“At a club like this, it’s really important to do well in all the competitions that you are involved in, and this is what we are going to try to do on Sunday. That’s the main thing.
“Whatever happens next week, happens. But we will cross that bridge when we get to that. The main thing is this Sunday, and this talk that you mentioned. We haven’t really mentioned that as a group of players. If it comes, it comes. But we will try to do our best on Sunday to have a chance of that.”
Brendan Rodgers – one of Celtic’s greatest
You could write a book and a Netflix series on Rodgers’ time as Celtic manager, including all the stuff in between.
As mentioned above, it was pure dominance from Rodgers in his first spell, but then he made the very unpopular call to leave for Leicester City in 2019.
That was a major talking point when Rodgers returned, but let’s be honest, all has now been forgotten about, as he continues to write his name into the club’s legendary books as one of the club’s greatest ever managers.
