During a season of immense pressure, madness and chaos, it was great to see Celtic duo Kieran Tierney and Auston Trusty enjoying themselves away from the pitch.

The Celtic defensive duo recently swapped the pitch for the studio, appearing on SPORTbible’s popular Snack Wars series.

The brilliant segment saw Tierney and Trusty go head-to-head, comparing classic treats from the left-back’s native Scotland against iconic snacks from the centre-back’s homeland of the USA.

Naturally, Scotland’s iconic national drink, Irn-Bru, made a highly anticipated appearance alongside a host of other classic snacks.

Throughout the entire taste test, both Tierney and Trusty showcased their brilliant personalities and hilarious chemistry.

Scotland meets the USA: Celtic’s Snack Wars showdown

The first snacks on the table were ‘chip shop style pickled onions’ and ‘pickle in a pouch’ from across the pond.

It’s fair to say Tierney absolutely wasn’t having any of it. The Scottish defender hilariously asked, ‘What the hell was that?’ when confronted with America’s take on pickles!

Whilst Trusty couldn’t help but agree, and added: ‘This makes America look so bad.’

Either way, throughout the segment, they showed that they have great chemistry together, despite only playing alongside each other for the first time this season.

Yes, there was a famous appearance from Irn-Bru, which was pitted up against USA’s ‘Snapple’, with Trusty admitting, ‘I am not a fan of Irn-Bru. There was a lot of hype when I came up here, ‘Oh, you have got to try Irn-Bru.'”

Either way, by the end of it all, Scotland came out as the winner in the Snack Wars contest against the United States.

Celtic togetherness in domestic double triumph

Amid the dark clouds that have hovered over Parkhead this season, from continued fan protests, managerial changes, and cancelled Celtic AGMs, one thing that hasn’t been affected is the togetherness of the squad.

Yes, it might have taken several blows again and again. You would expect that to happen, given the number of matches the champions of Scotland were losing.

But in the end, a key reason why Celtic won the domestic double is because of that chemistry in the squad.

Martin O’Neill deserves huge credit for that, because without him, you just wonder where the Hoops would be.

But Tierney was also right to give captain Callum McGregor his flowers for how he kept everyone together behind the scenes.
