Celtic lost to Aston Villa despite making a superb fightback from an early setback where the Premier League club took a quick two-goal lead.
Morgan Rogers put Celtic to the sword as the Premier League club made a storming start as the striker put his side 2-0 up in the first five minutes of the Bhoys defeat to Aston Villa.
Brendan Rodgers’ side produced a fine comeback after Adam Idah struck ten minutes before halftime as the Republic of Ireland striker fired in a fine quickfire double to level the score.

And as the second goal went in 145 seconds later, the Celtic striker provoked a reaction from Aston Villa boss, Unai Emery.

Idah’s second goal to level the scores teed up another potentially memorable European night for the Hoops and as the ball nestled into the back of the Aston Villa net, Emery did this:
The Villa boss clearly saw that his team where shellshocked at Celtic pulling the game back just as quickly as Villa raced to an early 2-0 lead and tried to calm his players as Rodgers’ team started to smell blood.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers was proud of his player’s performance at Villa Park and despite losing the match, still earned a glamour tie against German giants Bayern Munich or the current Champions League holders, Real Madrid.
Reacting to to Celtic’s draw, Rodgers said, “We know it’s either Real Madrid or Bayern Munich in the next round which will be a huge challenge at this level but we’re building confidence and showing we’re a team that can play, work well and make it difficult for the top teams.
“Clearly it’s a great reward for the work the club and team have done.
“Whoever we play, they’re clearly top-level teams.”
