After Celtic’s win against Dundee United, there is a positive feeling surrounding the club once again with regards to the title defence.
Martin O’Neill’s side are still in third place in the Scottish Premiership despite Celtic’s big win over Dundee United.
However, with the Celtic board still locking out the Green Brigade, there is still a muted atmosphere at Parkhead.
Should Celtic lift the bans on the Green Brigade and Fan Media? Let us know in the comments.
Bhoys Celtic call on the board to end the Parkhead bans.
That atmosphere could be instantly changed if the Celtic Ultras were allowed back in, as well as reinstating fan media’s access to press conferences, if Brian Wilson was really serious about his plea for unity at the club when he was appointed interim chairman.
And speaking about his plea, 67 Hail Hail told BBC Sportsound what was ‘ironic’ about the interim Celtic chairman’s words.

Celtic chairman Brian Wilson’s ‘ironic’ call for unity
When Celtic announced Peter Lawell’s retirement, Wilson’s appearance in his tribute video called for an end to the feud between the board and the supporters.
When Kenny MacIntyre asked me about the relations between the board and the supporters, we pulled no punches.
I told BBC Sportsound, “Well, I personally found it ironic that Brian Wilson was calling out for unity whilst the Green Brigade are still banned, as well as fan media not being allowed access to the press conferences. I found that rather ironic.
“What I also found strange as well is, it seemed to me the Celtic Fans Collective had put out a kind of olive branch during the week, asking for Brian Wilson to meet up to try and get that unity for the club. But there’s been nothing since then.”
Celtic board’s ‘long-term plan’ called out
Not only have Celtic not replied to the call to create unity at the club from the supporters, we also questioned what the board’s long-term goal is for this debacle.
I continued, “As far as I’m aware, there’s been no reply from the club. There’s been nothing to say that there’s any appetite for Celtic to help create that unity.
“So as a fan, I find it difficult to comprehend where the Celtic board are going with this. What the long-term plan is even for engaging with the fan media and the Green Brigade, because there doesn’t seem to be any plan for that either.”

The whole situation is bizarre and the longer the silence from the Celtic board continues, the hope of this ever being resolved and the lifting of the Green Brigade ban lessens as well.
