Ange Postecoglou told his Celtic players last night that even if refereeing decisions go against them, they’ll win games anyway.

Postecoglou called out the refereeing of Alan Muir in the wake of last night’s dramatic 90 minutes, suggesting a few calls did not go in the Bhoys’ favour when they should have.

He’s not often criticised poor decisions since arriving in Scotland.

Ange tells his Celtic players to keep winning despite refereeing

However, in one of his best quotes yet, the Celtic manager said to The Scottish Daily Mail [16/12 print edition, page 86]: “It would have been easy to lose their composure when the chaos was happening, but they stayed calm and got their rewards for doing that. That just fuels them going down this road of being a certain kind of football team.

“I don’t think we got the rub of the decisions tonight, a few went against us. I said to the boys we won’t complain about it, we will just win games and let that speak for itself.

“A few went against us tonight but we just keep going, playing our football and keep winning. Hopefully, these things even themselves out.”

Despite Carl Starfelt receiving a ridiculous yellow card and Muir missing an obvious penalty call late on, hilariously it was Malky Mackay alluding to conspiracy theories after the match.

Postecoglou seems to enjoy his players coming through adversity. So far, they’re answering all the questions of difficult December football.

From injuries to dodgy calls, the three points keep coming. With a trophy on the line this weekend too, who isn’t enjoying the Ange project apart from Celtic’s critics?
