Celtic opened up a huge 16-point gap to Rangers at the weekend.
After Rangers lost to Motherwell, Brendan Rodgers took his Celtic team to Paisley, where he watched his Bhoys beat St Mirren in a hard-fought win.
With Celtic already banking the League Cup earlier this season, the chance to win a treble and wrap up the league title early is a very real possibility for the Hoops players and fans.
With the Glasgow Derby at Celtic Park less than two weeks away, Adam Idah has shared what the Hoops boss has told his players about the gap to Rangers and the possibility of winning the club’s ninth domestic treble.

Brendan Rodgers comments about Celtic’s win at St Mirren ‘was right’
Taking part in a press conference to promote Celtic’s friendly with Cork City, Idah was asked about the message from Rodgers after a 16-point gap opened up from Rangers at the weekend.
Idah said, “The game the other day, it was tough game. St Mirren are a really tough side, very physical, and the pitch wasn’t great, so we probably couldn’t play our best football.
“So the manager was right. It was a defining moment to get a result like that; there is great. The first half was really tough, so to come out in the second half, and to be fair to the boys who’ve come on, they did brilliant and won us the game.”
What Brendan Rodgers is telling his Celtic players about winning a treble
Idah then went on to elaborate his answer as he explained what the Celtic manager has told the players about the gap and winning a treble.
Idah continued, “Just for the season, is to do what we’ve been doing this whole time, is try and win each each and every game. Take each game as it comes and, hopefully, finish the season on a high.
“We haven’t thought that far ahead yet. We want to win every game, and it’s been like that since the start the season, so that’s how we want to finish it.”
If Celtic beat Rangers, then another two wins against Hearts and St Johnstone will be enough to secure the title.
With Hibs up next in the Scottish Cup, Rodgers and the Bhoys can take another step towards winning another Celtic treble.
However, the Edinburgh club are in fine form so it’s pleasing to hear that the Celtic boss is taking nothing for granted as he heads into the biggest two weeks of the season.
