Callum Osmand was brought to Celtic this summer to slot right into the B team.

Osmand is yet to make a senior appearance for Celtic this season but in the Lowland League, the young striker is making his mark.

The 19-year-old was a highly-rated youngster and left Fulham fans gutted with his Celtic move as many raged that Osmand was allowed to leave the club at all.

Osmand hit the ground running at Celtic B after a 12-minute spell against Clyde saw the youngster win a penalty, get a player sent off and score as he ran riot in the Challenge Cup.

However, as Daizen Maeda struggled in Celtic’s draw with Red Star Belgrade, Osmand was doing the business once again with the B team in the cup competition’s group stage.

Callum Osmand scores again as Daizen Maeda struggles at Celtic

Young Osmand has made just two appearances for Celtic B but has made his mark after he made his second outing last night in the Challenge Cup against Edinburgh City.

Osmand’s goal gave Celtic B the lead in the capital but a second-half collapse by the young Hoops saw City score two goals in 12 minutes to deliver another group stage defeat for the talented youngsters.

Hayato Inamura makes Celtic B appearance

The much-maligned Hayato Inamura also played in the Celtic B defeat to Edinburgh City after his summer transfer to Parkhead.

The Japanese defender played 64 minutes of the match after being subbed off two minutes after City equalised.

Ironically, two minutes after Inamura’s removal, City scored the winner to consign the young Celts to their second defeat in the Challenge Cup group stage.

Celtic will play East Fife in the next fixture of the competition, but before that, the B team will face Hearts on Saturday.
