The ghosts of the Easter Road defeat have been well and truly banished and looking ahead to the big Glasgow Derby, Celtic are really in a very good place. Or are they?

Sitting nicely at the top of the Scottish Premiership table with a 16-point gap from Rangers, Chris Sutton‘s comments on Celtic’s current form looks like he was delivering a warning to the Ibrox club ahead of the Celtic Park clash.

Chris Sutton says ‘it’s about burying Rangers’ for Celtic despite form claim

Sutton told The Warm Up [29m], “It’s about burying Rangers isn’t it going into the game. I think it’s been difficult for the Celtic players recently because we all say the league’s over, and yet we all know what it’s like in terms of you still have to go out and perform and play to a certain level.

“I don’t think Celtic have been at their best in the last couple of games, yet they have scored ten goals. Defensively I think they’ve been they’ve been slightly off it.

“I always think as a player you want to get the league won and done as quickly as possible, don’t you? So I think Celtic will win it.”
