Adam Idah has been a very good signing for Celtic in the January window.
Yes, I understand he missed a penalty against Hearts yesterday afternoon but overall, his five goals have proved crucial in keeping Celtic in this title race since his arrival.
The Republic of Ireland striker‘s arrival wasn’t met with an overall feeling of positivity due to his status at Norwich, however, he has won a place in the Celtic fans’ hearts and he could still play a huge role in retaining the Scottish Premiership title.
And journalist, Michael Gannon, has shared how his parent club, Norwich City, are feeling about the impact Idah has made at Celtic.
Norwich City ‘surprised’ at Idah’s Celtic impact
The 22-year-old striker had found himself third choice at the Championship club so getting out on loan seemed like a good move for him.
But Celtic isn’t just your standard everyday club. There are huge expectations put on players from the minute they sign and Idah has, so far, done well to live up to them. And journalist, Michael Gannon, has shared how it has surprised Norwich.
Gannon said [Record Celtic], “I think Idah has grabbed his chance. Big time. He’s surprised everybody. I mean people you speak to down at Norwich are also surprised that he started so well.
“So he’s given Celtic a different dynamic and he has changed the mood around the place.”

Idah does look really confident in front of goal and despite the penalty miss yesterday, he has shown incredible bravery to put himself up for such a high-pressure situation at his new club.
Hopefully, the penalty miss won’t do much to harm his confidence and he continues to find the back of the net.
With just nine games left in the league, Celtic are going to need Idah firing on all cylinders to ensure another result like that at Tynecastle doesn’t happen again.
