It’s always the idiots who have to spoil it, as was proven again at Ibrox.
On Sunday, Celtic recorded a 1-1 draw against Rangers, as the shares were spoiled for the final Glasgow derby of the season.
Everyone is aware and understands how heated this derby game is, with not many other rivals across the footballing world being able to match and better the hate in this game.
The game was after the hour mark, when Celtic were pushing for an equaliser after coming out the strongest for the second period.
Then the cameras panned to a glass bottle lying inside the penalty area in front of Celtic goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo.

What Rangers bench player Neraysho Kasanwirjo did after glass bottle thrown at Celtic’s Viljami Sinisalo
Barry Ferguson made four changes from the bench during the game, but one player – Neraysho Kasanwirjo – remained unused.
When the glass bottle was thrown onto the pitch, the pictures panned to Kasanwirjo warming up on the sidelines.
When there was a stop in play, Kasanwirjo then ran onto the pitch, picked up the bottle and put it to the side, as was explained on Sky Sports Football (04/05/25).
Ian Crocker stated on commentary: “Neraysho Kasanwirjo taking off that bottle that was thrown onto the pitch. A side of this fixture that we never want to see, but can’t seem to shake.”
History repeating itself…
Go back to Celtic’s previous trip to Rangers, just after the turn of the year, the same nonsense occurred then, and now history has repeated itself.
Back then, as Celtic were awarded a corner at the end of the game, a coin was thrown at Arne Engels, and he addressed it at the time.
Luckily, the glass bottle thrown onto the pitch didn’t make contact with anyone, or else it could have been very dangerous.
One of the problems with the modern game is the fact that the authorities don’t even allow fans to take bottle caps to their seats.
That’s because the minority of idiots ruin it for everyone, so the powers that be become very strict and draconian in their rules.
