It seems very likely that Marco Tilio will become Brendan Rodgers’ second signing at Celtic this summer.
The five-time Australia international looks set to sign from Melbourne City ahead of the new season.
Yesterday, we told you that personal terms had been agreed between Celtic and Tilio, with a work permit the next task.
Now, Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph had added his voice to the speculation with a definitive update.
Joseph has posted on Twitter, saying: “Celtic have agreed terms with Melbourne City forward Marco Tilio.
“It’s understood paperwork is being finalised and the Hoops hope to complete the transfer this week.”

Joseph’s tweet can be viewed as confirmation that a deal is very close.
He didn’t supply a lot of new information, but the story being verified by Sky Sports is good news as far as we’re concerned.
So it seems very much like Tilio will be confirmed as a Celtic player over the next week or so. Time to get your notifications on.
At 21, he will add more youthfulness to the squad, alongside 20-year-old Odin Thiago Holm who joined last week.
Both appear to be long-term targets for the recruitment team, and it is encouraging to see us progressing with deals that would have been lined up during the Postecoglou days.

Both Tilio and Holm seem like top talents. However, there shouldn’t be an immense pressure on either of them to get off to a fast start.
Our squad is in a really good place and automatic qualification for the Champions League should allow them to ease in to their Celtic careers.
Two arrivals in by the start of July is a great start to the summer. More of this please Celtic.
