Celtic fans have been used to many, many trophy lifts in recent times.
But nothing would have topped or bettered what unfolded during the recently concluded campaign, as Martin O’Neill returned to guide Celtic to Premiership title number 56.
Despite Hearts’ best efforts, it was also Celtic’s fifth consecutive crown in Scotland, as they are at the halfway stage of securing a much-wanted 10-in-a-row.
There aren’t many teams across the footballing world who are on such a surging title streak, with only seven other teams better than the champions of Scotland, that’s including teams from nations such as Malaysia, Serbia and Slovakia.

Celtic level with PSG in consecutive league titles won
On Saturday, PSG won back-to-back Champions League titles when they defeated Arsenal on penalties in Budapest.
Just like Celtic, Luis Enrique’s side have also won five league titles in a row, and they were on the end of a scare this term.
Led by Celtic hero Odsonne Edouard, RC Lens pushed PSG to the final few weeks of the campaign, before losing out on the title.
But those in green and white still have a long way to go to catch the crop of teams ahead of them in the longest current title-winning streaks in football.
On social media, Out of Context Football Manager posted about the longest title runs gamers will need to break on FM, with some familiar, but not so familiar, names on the list.
