Celtic rank among world’s top 20 for global football shirt sales

Celtic have been ranked among the top 20 football clubs in the world for shirt sales, highlighting the club’s global reach despite competing outside Europe’s financial elite.

Data compiled from industry reports and commercial analyses places the Hoops alongside established continental names such as Ajax and Benfica, while the top of the list continues to be dominated by giants like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United.

While those clubs shift millions of shirts annually, Celtic’s position inside the top 20 reflects a different kind of strength — one built on identity, heritage and a worldwide support that stretches far beyond Glasgow.

Celtic’s global recognition doesn’t transfer to financial muscle

Although Celtic are recording profits that Premier League clubs would be envious of, the Hoops are still way behind some of the powerhouses in the list.

The likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are all powerhouses and have so much more money than the Hoops do.

That will always leave the Bhoys at a disadvantage when it comes to competing in the Champions League, but the club’s fanbase can never be questioned.
