Alex Valle served Celtic well during his short stint in Glasgow.
The Spain Under-21 international joined Celtic last summer on loan from his parent club, Barcelona, intending to see out most of the season.
But things changed pretty quickly during the January transfer window, including talk of Kieran Tierney possibly returning early.
Even to Brendan Rodgers’ surprise, Valle’s loan deal was cut short, and with Tierney’s return pencilled in for the summer, Celtic needed another left-back, and that’s where Jeffrey Schlupp came into the picture.
Whilst Schlupp performed well for Celtic, it was a shame to see Valle leave in such an abrupt manner because he had so much to give and was showcasing a lot of promise.
But the Celtic Park faithful might now get a glimpse of the 21-year-old this summer.

Celtic could reunite with Alex Valle ahead of a glamour friendly against Como
Como are managed by legendary midfielder Cesc Fabregas, and they were promoted to Serie A for the 2024/25 season.
Fabregas, including with the help of January recruit Valle, led them to a tenth-placed finish, and now Celtic could play them in a glamour pre-season friendly this summer, according to reports in Sun Sport.
It has been suggested that Como aren’t the only team on the list, but also Dutch giants AFC Ajax, who are now managed by Arne Slot’s former assistant, John Heitinga.
It is said that the games will take place in late July, and Celtic fans could be making a trip to the beautiful surroundings of northern Italy, as Como will be hosting the tournament.
How did Valle fare at Como after his Celtic exit?
All of the above could set up a reunion with Valle because he is expected to turn his loan move to the Italian side into a permanent transfer.
That proves how he must have left an impression on the people at the club, not least his manager, and the club’s ambitious owners, who are also financially backed by legendary striker Thierry Henry.
