Celtic’s win over Hearts did three things this weekend as the fans enjoyed four goals at Tynecastle.
The first thing the Celtic victory over Hearts did was open up a three-point gap at the top of the league after Aberdeen lost at St Mirren.
The second thing Celtic beating the Tynecastle club did was to put the Bhoys a massive 11 points ahead of Rangers who also dropped points after earning a 1-1 draw against Dundee United at Ibrox.
With the top of the Scottish Premiership table starting to take shape, the SPFL pointed out the third thing Celtic’s hammering of Hearts did as the governing body paid tribute to a ‘landmark moment’ in Edinburgh.
Kyogo Furuhashi gets SPFL shoutout after reaching Celtic milestone at Tynecastle
Kyogo Furuhashi made his 150th appearance for Celtic in the 4-1 win against Hearts at the weekend.
However, it wasn’t that that the SPFL decided to pay tribute to social media this morning.
Opening the scoring at Tynecastle meant that Kyogo has now found the back of the net 80 times wearing the green and white Hoops and the SPFL sent this in congratulations:
Celtic bought Kyogo for £4.6m from Vissel Kobe back in the summer of 2021 and he has been worth every penny since his introduction to Scottish football by Ange Postecoglou.
