Sebastian Tounekti is coming under increasing pressure at Celtic these days.
After his £5m summer transfer move, Tounekti is failing to impress at Celtic despite showing flashes of what he can really do in his first few games for the club.
There is no doubt the Tunisian has talent, but the wingers end product looks suspect which is backed up with Tounekti delivering zero assists at Celtic so far this season.
Has Sebastian Tounekti got what it takes to be a Celtic winger?
With Tounekti’s Celtic starting spot under threat in 67 Hail Hail’s predicted XI to face Roma tonight, it appears that Peter Grant shares the same reservations about the attacker.
And Grant has told Wilfried Nancy that there is a young player at Celtic who has a better end product than the Tunisia international.

Peter Grant says Colby Donovan is ‘the best crosser’ at Celtic
Young Colby Donovan is making a name for himself at Celtic with some really impressive performances of late.
And Grant reckons that with Nancy’s new system, the Celtic manager will get a better end product from the Academy graduate than he currently is from Tounekti.
Grant told The Go Radio Football Show, “I go back and I think, and I look at the team on Saturday and I’m talking about the two wing backs.
“If I’m looking at Celtic on Saturday and I come in as a manager, I want to go to back five as in three, but two wing backs. The two guys I would have had out wide, would have been Colby Donovan and Kieran Tierney.
“For one reason, there’s a left foot on one side, Kieran Tierney puts the best cross in the game, and Colby Donovan is one of the best crossers at the football club.
“The two wingers at this moment time, Yang and Tounekti are not good crossers of the ball.
“So if you’re playing that system, you have to be putting crosses but quality in the box.”

COLBY DONOVAN TO START AGAINST ROMA?
Sebastian Tounekti’s Celtic struggles laid bare
Tounekti’s Scottish Premiership stats on Fotmob don’t make great reading as his position at Celtic is now called into question.
- Appearances: 11
- Goals: 1
- Assists: 0
- Average rating: 6.97
- Passing Accuracy: 83.8%
- Successful crosses per 90 minutes: 0.41
- Successful crosses %: 21.14
It’s clearly still early in Tounekti’s Celtic career and fans will be hoping that he starts to become a more effective attacking weapon under Nancy’s new style.
