Celtic have forced the nitpick brigade out this season with some of their performances.
Brendan Rodgers‘ side are runaway leaders at the top of the Scottish Premiership and demolished Aberdeen 5-1 in midweek to bounce back from an uncharacteristic defeat to Hibs last weekend.
Rodgers was “not too pleased” with elements of the win on Tuesday evening at Celtic Park despite the scoreline and that was a sentiment echoed by Arne Engels who said the same at full-time.
And with the manager clearly a perfectionist with seriously high standards, one moment in particular might have irked him against the Dons as it did former Aberdeen captain Willie Miller.

Willie Miller says Liam Scales struggled with Shayden Morris
Miller may have been representing the Dons on punditry duties for BBC Sportsound but it was Celtic star Liam Scales who got it in the neck from the retired centre-half.
Kasper Schmeichel was denied a record-levelling clean sheet thanks to substitute Shayden Morris who beat Scales before finding the back of the net.
And Miller reckons the Irishman played right into the attacker’s hands when he should have defended much better.
“You know, I couldn’t look at anyone and say that there was energy there. I mean, they put Shayden Morris on. And I’m sitting up here and I’m saying, ‘Liam Scales, he’s going to byline, he’s going to take you on your left hand side’,” Miller said.

“Surely you watch the Sportscene and you see him scoring all these goals. And what does he do? He has a wee body shimmy and Liam Scales goes to his right-hand side and leaves that gap where Morris is just desperate to get into.
“So, you know, from that point of view, I would have thought that Liam Scales would have learned a little bit about Shayden Morris and how to deal with him.
“But other than that, you know, from an Aberdeen point of view, Jimmy Thelin, he’s got a style, he’s got a way of playing the game. You know, as front foot football that he wants to play, it just didn’t work (on Tuesday).”
Celtic’s lead at the top of the Premiership is insurmountable
The Hoops are in pole position to win the title at the end of the season with a whopping 13-point lead at the top of the division.
That is why Rodgers’ winning mentality is so vital to the cause in the east end of Glasgow.
This evening they face St Mirren in the league in the 5.30pm kick-off and with rivals Rangers playing earlier in the day it should be the ideal moment to put them back in their place.
The Buddies beat Gers 2-0 at Ibrox in their last outing against one of the big two but Celts’ league record vs St Mirren is no joke.
