Celtic fans will be relieved that discussion surrounding the winter transfer window has finally started to die down at Parkhead.

Brendan Rodgers managed to add Nicolas Kuhn and Adam Idah to his ranks over the course of the month, and both have already made an impact in green and white.

In the case of former Germany Under-20 international Kuhn, he came off the bench to rescue a point away to Aberdeen the week before last after combining with his fellow winter arrival in the build-up.

Last Sunday, Rodgers opted to field the Republic of Ireland international alongside Kyogo Furuhashi in attack in his side’s eventual 2-0 win over St Mirren in the Scottish Cup.

Paying dividends, the Norwich loanee was able to pin the Buddies’ defence, affording his counterpart the space to stroke home an impressive opener from the edge of the area.

Evaluating the situation, Celtic didn’t add many alternative options to their squad in January; nevertheless, both players have allowed their manager to freshen things up in the forward areas.

Mark Wilson is yet to see Nicolas Kuhn’s best form at Celtic

Former Celtic defender Mark Wilson is still to be convinced by Kuhn’s ability to be a match-winner at Parkhead despite being highly recommended upon his arrival in Glasgow.

The 39-year-old recently shared his thoughts on the 24-year-old via Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, stating: “Listen, I really don’t know what Kuhn is going to be. We’ve been hearing reports that he’s electric and he can run by people.

“I’ve yet to see it. I have seen a wee glimpse at Pittodrie, but at Easter Road the other night, he looked way off it.”

Kuhn appeared as a substitute at the SMiSA Stadium last weekend and featured for 15 minutes in place of Japan international Maeda [BBC Sport].
