Celtic midfielder Yosuke Ideguchi is to be offered a chance to return back to Japan this January, reports the Scottish Sun.
The 26-year-old, signed from Gamba Osaka 11 months ago, has struggled to break in to Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Ideguchi has had injuries to contend with in his time in Scotland, and his fate seemed to be sealed when he missed out on Postecoglou’s 25-man Champions League squad in early September.

The Scottish Sun say ‘several J-League clubs are monitoring his situation’ with a decision to be made in the coming weeks.
Ideguchi was always the big gamble of the three J-League stars who were announced by the club on the final day of 2021.
While Reo Hatate and Daizen Maeda made quick starts, Guchi has been unfancied and forced to settle for sporadic sub appearances.

While Hatate and Maeda can vie for at least two positions in every starting line-up, Ideguchi has been playing for just one.
With Callum McGregor such a vital part of the team, and the likes of Aaron Mooy and Oliver Abildgaard having decent pedigree, game time was always going to be a struggle.
For now, we’ll have to wait and see what happens in January. Perhaps a parting of the ways, either on loan or permanently, is the best solution for all parties.
