Celtic may have their problems right now, but it appears that they are still way ahead of Rangers.
In terms of finances, Celtic are clearly richer than Rangers. With an estimated £75m+ in the Hoops bank account, Brendan Rodgers has plenty of money available to him to invest in the Celtic first-team squad.
As it stands, not much of that cash has been spent this summer and it’s causing unrest with some Celtic supporters, and even the manager.
However, it appears that even with the lack of real signings, Michael Stewart is no doubt about what he thinks about the Celtic squad compared to Rangers’ right now.

Michael Stewart believes Celtic have more ‘leaders’ than Rangers
Winning trophies takes a certain mentality from players no matter whether you are at Celtic or Rangers.
And Stewart believes that Celtic have a ‘core group of players’ that Rangers simply don’t have to take them forward this season.
Stewart told The Scottish Football Podcast, “Well, I mean, it’s clearly going to take time, but for me, I just think that Rangers as a club, obviously there’s been a huge amount of change, but it always feels like they’re building on shifting sands to me.
“And the foundations need to be put in place first, and doing that means signing the right types of players.
“And when you look and you compare with what is across the city at Celtic, and you look at the core group of players, Rangers just don’t have that.
“And I look at who they’ve signed and I don’t see that coming in the door. So when you talk about a mentality thing, well, that’s all the more important that you sign the right types, the leaders that are going to be in the team.”
Two players currently at Celtic that Rangers wish they had
As Scotland’s most successful club, Celtic have players in their current squad that have won multiple trophies.
However, there are two Celtic stars that Rangers boss Russell Martin will wish he had whose winning mentality has been invaluable to the Hoops over the last two decades.
Callum McGregor (24) and James Forrest (26) are two of Celtic’s most decorated players in the club’s history.
With 50 trophies between them, Forrest and McGregor’s trophy-winning mentality is something that Russell Martin can only dream of having at Rangers.
