Pundits who accuse Celtic and Rangers of being unable to compete in England perhaps haven’t grasped the additional benefits both clubs would receive in the top flight.
Furthermore, as two of the best-supported clubs in the world, their reputation already exceeds many of the current top 20 sides in England.

As expected, 67 Hail Hail fans are more than confident that the Hoops could hold their own against the Premier League’s elite.
While they acknowledge that the first season may be a struggle, the finances on offer to the club would quickly make them a force to be reckoned with.
One supporter said: “First season would be midtable. Once that Premier League money hits the accounts, then the sky is the limit.”
Another wrote: “Given the huge financial support that league benefits from, I would say that we’d do okay because the money would be there for signings! Hopefully it would get used wisely.”
A third added: “If settled in and with the money that is given to clubs in the Premier League, Celtic would always be in the top six.”
