How great is it to have Celtic back?

I’m sure we were all delighted to see the return of Ange Postecoglou’s side to competitive action on Saturday after the winter break came to an end.

Yeah, the World Cup gave us some fantastic moments and games of football. But there is nothing quite like watching the Hoops back and celebrating Callum McGregor’s late strike.

Last weekend’s victory at Pittodrie brought a 35-day period without the Bhoys in domestic action to an end, and it was certainly an enjoyable one.

And tonight, Postecoglou and his players will be bringing another long wait to an end – 39 days to be exact – as the Hoops get set to return to Paradise.

For the first time since early November, Celtic will be playing in front of a packed Parkhead crowd as we take on Livingston.

Originally, this fixture was due to take place in September. But now it marks the occasion for Celtic supporters return to our famous home ground.

It feels so long ago since we last watched the Bhoys in action in the East End of Glasgow as Sead Haksabanovic wrapped up all three points against Ross County.

With the season being split in half due to the tournament out in Qatar, it almost feels like a separate campaign in many ways.

But as a matter of fact, it isn’t. Instead, the Hoops will be aiming to continue their impressive run of winning every home game in the Scottish Premiership this season.

I am sure Ange and his players will receive a fantastic reception at what is bound to be a cold winter’s night inside Paradise.

For those who can’t make the game, there is even a rare opportunity to watch the action at Parkhead from the comfort of your own home.

Last week, the club announced there would be a pay-per-view option for this evening’s fixture, which will allow all fans across the UK to tune in to the Bhoys’ return to Celtic Park.

Ange Postecoglou’s side faces a potentially tricky test, as Livingston aims to match the feat they achieved last season by keeping Celtic at bay.

However, supporters will be hoping for a strong performance after a good win on Saturday and the long-awaited return to Celtic Park after over a month away from our home ground.
