Celtic fans haven’t stopped their Scottish Premiership victory lap just because matters have moved onto the Cup.
Derek McInnes and his club have been vocal since they lost the title in the Scottish Premiership decider at Celtic Park, pointing the finger at Celtic and the authorities.
They were left with egg on their faces after a SFA press release confirmed that McInnes himself had communicated that he was happy for the game to end after the pitch invasion.
This has been brutally interpreted by Hoops fans as a “surrender”.
Just how badly has the SFA’s VAR audio from the Premiership finale reflected on Hearts…
Celtic’s Derek McInnes banner at Scottish Cup final: ‘The cry was we surrender’
At last week’s decider, a large portrait of McInnes’ face was on display as jubilant fans celebrated after the final whistle (wink wink) at the end of the game.

Hearts had written to the SFA and SPFL demanding clarification after the “early” end to the match set a “troubling precedent” about pitch invasions ending matches.
The released audio then revealed David Dickinson saying: “Blow the whistle. Hearts are happy to finish Don, Hearts are happy to finish.
“Derek McInnes has told me they are happy to finish. They want their players off. Is it finished?”
Match referee Don Robertson then confirmed that the game had finished: “Yes, it’s finished. Kevin, the game is finished, OK?”
The goal was scored with seconds remaining of the eight added minutes. The SFA’s statement confirms that the rules are clear: the referee has the right to end the game after the added time is over.
In his latest response to Bloom’s comments, O’Neill said: The statement was in dealing with me, so I’m surprised that no one has further investigated these assault charges.
“I thought that Mr. Bloom might have been questioned a wee bit further by Jim [White] in that, you know. Seemingly not….”
Bloom made the claim of assault in an interview this week, having been in attendance at Parkhead to see his club fall at the last hurdle in the Scottish Premiership race.
