Celtic have been given the perfect opportunity to take a stand, by backing Kyogo Furuhashi, and as a result, Ange Postecoglou.
The Japanese forward has been a complete revelation since moving to Scotland in July – netting 14 goals, including 5 in Europe.
Kyogo hasn’t been booked in 13 league games this term, yet you’d be forgiven for thinking he was the second coming of Satan, had you come across the Scottish press recently.
Today, ex-referee Keith Hackett said the forward should be fined for “exaggerating” incidents. (Football Insider)
That’s just the latest bizarre take in a strange campaign against the brilliantly innocent attacker.

Celtic could back Kyogo and Ange in one move
Celtic could call this treatment of Kyogo out in a statement, backing the player to the hilt. It would also likely appease Ange.
You may have noticed that the Hoops manager has been rallying the troops in recent weeks.
He’s been noticeably more animated after matches, and has regularly fired back at members of the press when Celtic have been given unfair treatment.
This writer’s opinion is that Ange wants everyone (players, management, fans) fighting together over the tough festive period.
And Celtic could give him his wish if they back Kyogo amid this unfounded criticism.
Celtic will be well aware of many fans’ thoughts too. Already today, numerous tweets have popped up, with fans demanding that the club leap to the defence of their biggest goal threat.
Such a response would really send everyone into another big week with some fire in their belly.
