Celtic predicted XI vs Dundee United with Brendan Rodgers to ring changes

Brendan Rodgers will surely have one eye on Celtic’s Champions League second-leg clash with Bayern Munich next week.

The manager will say it’s all about Dundee United tomorrow and that has to be the case.

But it would be a mistake not to make good use of the full squad for the Parkhead action this weekend against the Tangerines.

In fairness to Rodgers, he always has, and he has the opportunity to do so again with the 2-1 defeat to Bayern ensuring the tie is still alive even if it has become a tad more difficult.

That means some changes will have to be made from the starting XI who battled the Bundesliga giants.

And 67 Hail Hail have attempted to predict Rodgers’ thoughts before the game.

Kasper Schmeichel will return after missing Raith Rovers tie

Kasper Schmeichel will make a domestic comeback for Celts after sitting out the Scottish Cup tie against Raith Rovers with a back issue.

He was impressive vs Bayern and Viljami Sinisalo will be back on the bench despite not really putting a foot wrong against the Scottish Championship outfit on his debut for the club.

It was a tough night for Alistair Johnston against Bayern and Anthony Ralston may come back in at home.

Auston Trusty and Liam Scales, we reckon, will play at the centre and Jeffrey Schlupp may well make a start at left-back with Greg Taylor being taken out the firing line.

Callum McGregor will probably still be in the middle of the park and he’ll be joined by Luke McCowan and Reo Hatate.

On the wing we suspect Jota will come in for the shattered Daizen Maeda and then Yang might play ahead of Nicolas Kuhn on the other flank.

Up top we reckon Adam Idah will be given the nod with Maeda possibly playing in Germany through the middle as the lone striker.
