Celtic released a statement on behalf of interim chairman Brian Wilson to address the protest that took place against Stuttgart.
Wilson penned a letter to fans on the club website in which he labelled the decision to throw tennis balls on the pitch as ‘deeply disappointing.’
The protest was in reference to the ongoing dispute with the Green Brigade and if they think that would get people onside, they may want to look around the room again.

Celtic board won’t do what is best for the club and allow the Green Brigade to return
While Martin O’Neill slammed the protest, as well as sections of the 67 Hail Hail crowd in one of our latest TalkingPoints, the Celtic boss has tried to act as a peace envoy.
Chris Sutton and Charlie Mulgrew were among the many to comment about the poor atmosphere inside Parkhead for the 4-1 defeat against Stuttgart.
Within the letter, Wilson has asked for unity, but the decision to not allow the Green Brigade back into the stands is creating further division.
Fans are at loggerheads with the board for many different reasons but the longer this goes on, it will hinder things on the pitch.
Sure, there are other problems to address, but this is a simple and easy fix that could buy the hierarchy some more time.

Celtic’s players miss the Green Brigade, it is so obvious
Over the years we have heard legends of the game like Samuel Eto’o and Lionel Messi say how good the atmosphere is at Celtic Park.
Nowadays, without the core group present, the atmosphere is as bad as it has ever been.
Like them or loathe them, the Green Brigade do make a difference inside the ground.
How do Celtic fans get the board to listen to their concerns?
Let us know in the comments below…
They spur everyone else on to generate noise and help to provide that intimidation factor that has earned respect across the globe.
The players are missing that too, as many have said in their post-match interviews. So come on Celtic, let’s try and move forward.
