Now that the Scottish Premiership is drawing to a close, Brendan Rodgers could give some Celtic youngsters their first taste of senior action.
Celtic were crowned champions of Scotland for a 55th time and have also won the Scottish League Cup. With the Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen on May 24, it’s important to keep every player available.
Jota is out for nine months and Liam Scales was slammed by fans for his performance against Rangers, meaning that places could be up for grabs.
There’s been criticism from supporters about the lack of academy players playing for the Bhoys’ first team.
Only three games of the season remain and this could be the perfect time for Rodgers to unearth the next Celtic legend.
Here, 67 Hail Hail looks at five Celtic academy stars who could be given their senior debut.

Mitchell Robertson – Defender
Mitchell Robertson is the vice-captain of Celtic’s youngsters and has been a vital cog in Stephen McManus’ squad.
Robertson has only been involved with the B team for one whole season but been a standout player for the Hoops.
Last season he captained the young Bhoys to a 16th Scottish Youth Cup final and the 20-year-old has certainly done enough to warrant a chance in one of the final three games of the season.
Colby Donovan – Defender
The right-back has impressed in his first full season as a product of the B team and was even a member of the first-team squad who travelled to USA for Celtic’s pre-season tour in 2024.
Colby Donovan will also have one eye on breaking into the senior squad, depending on how long Alistair Johnston is out injured, as someone to play deputy to Anthony Ralston, or even get some minutes on the pitch.
Kyle Ure – Midfielder
This year’s Celtic B Player of the Season, Kyle Ure would be a brilliant option in the centre of midfield.
Given the amount of football played by Reo Hatate, Callum McGregor and Arne Engels have played, handing one of the youngsters in the middle of the park some minutes would valuable and help keep the regulars fresh for the cup final.
Ure has leadership and experience, as well as his ability to slip a ball through the eye of a needle – something that would be music to the ears of Daizen Maeda and Adam Idah.
Sean McArdle – Midfielder
Sean McArdle was named on the bench against Rangers and played in the mid-season friendly against Sligo Rovers.
McArdle, like Ure, is a midfielder who can provide fresh legs and give some of the regulars time to recover.
He is the youngest on the list, born in August 2007, so may be considered a bit too young to get minutes.
However, if he’s good enough for the bench, he’s got a shot of playing for the first team.
Samuel Isiguzo – Forward
Samuel Isiguzo, like McArdle, may be a bit too young to feature for the Bhoys.
But, when there are injuries in the attacking department, the 18-year-old will fancy his chances.
Isiguzo has broken into the B team this season, scoring three goals in six games and even featuring in the UEFA Youth League. One to keep an eye on.
