Jahmai Simpson-Pusey will no doubt become a pub quiz question of random players that you forgot had played for Celtic, unless he continues his upward trajectory.

Simpson-Pusey joined Koln after his loan spell with the Hoops was cancelled.

He made one appearance for the Bhoys in a win against Kilmarnock but otherwise spent the time ostracised from the first-team.

Since moving to Germany, the youngster has had quite a contrast in fortunes which is already making Celtic look rather silly.

Should Celtic regret not giving Jahmai Simpson-Pusey a chance?

Jahmai Simpson-Pusey already a key starter for Koln

After the end to his Celtic nightmare, the Manchester City youth product has already turned things around and established himself as an instant starter in the Bundesliga.

Koln have started him in all three games, winning one, losing one, and drawing one.

His best performance came in the recent 2-1 victory against Mainz, which saw him earn a spot in the Kicker Team of the Day.

What did Celtic do to Jahmai Simpson-Pusey?

Right now, the question on everyone’s lips is: what on Earth did Celtic do to Simpson-Pusey?

The Bundesliga is arguably a much more competitive league than the Scottish Premiership, yet it seems that he can easily transition into a starting XI and make an immediate impact.

It’s not the first time that the Hoops have mismanaged a loan player that has gone on to be a star elsewhere and with the club’s defensive issues this season, it is baffling why he wasn’t given a chance.

Additionally, this may have scuppered future relations with Man City, who were less than impressed with the lack of game time.
