The partnership Elijah Just is about to build up at Swansea that could have happened at Celtic

One player Celtic fans can now cross off their transfer wishlist is Elijah Just.

That’s because the Motherwell star is heading out of Scotland and joining Swansea City in the English Championship.

Just had a strong World Cup this summer; it further ignited calls from Celtic fans for the club to sign him, but nothing happened.

Now, the New Zealand international, who scored two goals on football’s biggest stage, will link up with some familiar faces at Swansea in Adam Idah and Stephen Welsh.

New season. New Celtic. Who are you looking forward to watching? 👀🍀

The new season is around the corner, give us your thoughts, Celtic fans…👇🍀

Elijah Just and Adam Idah at Swansea City

Idah left Celtic for Swansea last summer, and many, such as Hoops hero Peter Grant, felt that the club made a mistake selling the Irish striker.

Injury kept Idah out for several months in his debut campaign in Wales, but it’s going to be interesting to see how he fares alongside Just next season.

This is a partnership that should probably be working together in the colours of Celtic.

Yes, Idah divided opinion in Glasgow, but his stock grew because he proved to be far better than most of the rubbish the club signed after he left.

Now it’s going to be interesting how those two link up, because if they strike something up and earn promotion to the Premier League, then it would be something.

Not forgetting Welsh.

Another player who played alongside Just last season at Motherwell. Celtic let him go this summer, but will he be another Gustaf Lagerbielke?

The Braga and Sweden defender would start for Celtic now, yet he was hardly given a chance during his days at Parkhead.

All in all, an interesting few months are coming up, and Celtic have to make sure they get things right, or else the reaction won’t be pretty.
