Robbie Keane has once again been linked with the Celtic job in the summer.
Keane has close ties to Dermot Desmond and was on the shortlist of candidates earlier this season before they chose to go with Wilfried Nancy.
The Ferencvaros boss has earned plaudits in Hungary but would have work to do to convince sections of the Celtic fanbase. In the event that he is appointed, 67 Hail Hail has identified the two formations that he could use to get the best out of the current squad.
The links are back again… Would you welcome Robbie Keane as Celtic manager?
Tell us why…
4-4-3
Ireland’s all-time leading scorer likes his teams to be attacking and on the front foot, but also defending from the attack with high intensity pressing.
A 4-4-3 is very similar to how the Hoops operate, with Callum McGregor often deployed in the number six role.
Celtic’s midfield is one-dimensional though, and having someone next to him or even replace him could bring more energy into the team.
His wide players are often instructed to play an inverted role, which will best suit the likes of Jota and Benjamin Nygren to come and provide support for the striker.
Daizen Maeda may be gone in the summer, but a pacey striker up front would help to press from the front and force opposition defenders into simple mistakes.

3-5-2/5-3-2
People see this formation mentioned and have flashbacks to the nightmare 33 days under Nancy. This system is far more fluid; however and does take defending into account.
We saw how Julian Araujo was able to thrive in that role and, should some new centre-backs come through the door, Kieran Tierney could enjoy the same freedom as a wing-back.
This would certainly need a defensive midfielder to steady the ship and break up the play.
An old-fashioned two-striker partnership up top would maybe enable a throwback to a big man, little man combo such as Tomas Cvancara and Maeda.
When defending, the wing-backs drop back to full-back roles and provide even more cover.
