One of the biggest summers awaits Celtic and Martin O’Neill.
Yes, Celtic haven’t yet announced that O’Neill will be staying on board for next season, but you are hoping that planning and some much-needed changes are already well underway.
Even though Celtic ended the campaign with a double and in party mode, for some players in the squad, the writing is on the wall, and they have no future in Glasgow.
Now that O’Neill is here for another 12 months, you just can’t see them staying on board, as 67 Hail Hail put three certain names forward, including club legend Reo Hatate.
What would be your one message to Martin O’Neill about Celtic’s upcoming transfer window?
Michel-Ange Balikwisha
It hasn’t even been 12 months, and Michel-Ange Balikwisha has already proven to be an expensive flop.
There is one thing about going out onto that pitch, struggling, failing to make an impact, being better off the bench than as a starter, lacking that end product, or simply looking for that goal.
But then it’s even worse when you aren’t even making Celtic’s matchday squad regularly.
That was the case with Balikwisha, who was signed under Brendan Rodgers last summer for £5 million, and now you wonder how the Hoops will recoup the money they put on the table for him.

Paulo Bernardo
Another player who hardly featured under O’Neill.
In Paulo Bernardo’s case, you can’t put him in the same category as Balikwisha.
The young midfielder has had some positive moments in the famous green and white colours, including scoring against Rangers at Parkhead.
But O’Neill clearly didn’t take a fancy to the midfield technician, who probably deserves more of a chance, but you just can’t see this continuing under O’Neill now.

What should Celtic do with Paulo Bernardo? 🤨🤔
Comment below, Celtic fans…👇🍀
Reo Hatate
Make no bones about it, Hatate is a Celtic legend. One of the best players to watch on his day, and somebody who produced some incredible moments in Glasgow.
Even though Hatate played a key role in Celtic securing the double, highlighted by his vital performance off the bench during the 2-2 draw at Rangers, his complete absence in the final few weeks of the campaign speaks volumes.
Even if a new manager had come in, you sense that it’s best for all parties that the all-action midfielder moves on.
