The January transfer window is around the corner and it could be a busy one for the Hoops.
Eight Celtic stars are out of contract in 2026 which will mean they can be poached by other sides on a pre-contract if the Bhoys choose to not extend.
Any incomings may be on hold until a new manager is appointed so that they can bring in the players that suit their style, but it will also depend on the funds available to them.
Meanwhile, there are still some former Celtic players that are looking for new clubs, and may face a race against the clock to do so.

Fraser Forster – Goalkeeper
Fraser Forster was brilliant for Celtic across two different spells and had successfully forged a career south of the border with Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur.
Forster is now in the twilight of his career and was released last summer off the back of Spurs’ Europa League triumph.
At 37, the goalkeeper won’t have too many years left in him, but would prove to be a shrewd option for some lower league clubs.
Victor Wanyama – Midfielder
One of the two players from that famous night against Barcelona who is still in search of a new club, Victor Wanyama is a free agent.
Wanyama signed for Dunfermline midway through last season following Neil Lennon’s appointment but is now in search of his next adventure.
Like Forster, the Kenyan is approaching the latter stages of his career and a short-term deal at a club may suit him.
Scott Sinclair – Forward
Brendan Rodgers brought Scott Sinclair to Celtic in his first spell as Hoops boss and revived the winger’s career.
Sinclair got off to an electric start with a goal against Hearts on his debut and never looked back, scoring plenty of goals.
He was released by Bristol Rovers and the 36-year-old doesn’t seem any closer to finding a new home.
Celtic stars could face the possibility of retirement
None of the three players in question are getting any younger and the dreaded ‘R’ word of retirement will no doubt be playing on their minds.
Hanging up the boots is never an easy decision; however, all know that their career won’t be lasting much longer.
To still be without a club heading into January suggests that interest will be few and far between, which could be the sign to think about the next steps.
