Celtic’s transfer business seems to be ramping up as the club begins to get linked with various players this summer.

Mathias Kvistgaarden’s link to Celtic seems to have taken a twist after a journalist shared that the Dane is likely to join Eintracht Frankfurt this summer.

Oskar Fallenius is said to be of interest to Celtic, as well as young Serbian centre back Veljko Milosavljevic who is also said to be attracting the Bhoys’ attention.

However, it is teenage left-back Keita Kosugi that is grabbing most of the headlines as the Japanese defender gets eyed by the Parkhead club.

Sponichi states that Celtic are tracking Kosugi and what the talented youngster said in January this year proves that the Hoops would be the perfect move for him.

Keita Kosugi’s Premier League dream makes Celtic the ideal destination

At just 19, Kosugi has already been called up to the Japan senior national squad and is likely to get capped this summer.

And as the Celtic rumours swirl, what the young Japanese defender said back in January makes the Hoops the perfect club for him.

Kosugi told Sponichi, “My future goal is to transfer to a big club in the Premier League or somewhere like that and win the European Champions League.

“Of course, I want to play for the national team. In the near future, I want to become the most prominent left back in the league.”

Keita Kosugi’s career as Celtic rumours continue

Kosugi started his career at youth level with Shonan Bellmare and made his move to Djurgarden after a short trial in March 2024.

Now at the club for over a year, the 19-year-old defender has made 43 senior appearances, scoring five goals and creating two.

With a senior Japan cap on the horizon, Kosugi is clearly a talented youngster with a big future ahead of him and if he makes the move to Celtic, his chances of realising his Premier League dream can only increase.
